I think if Mike and Graeme fought Graeme would end up in interlaced Sephia and Mike in monochrome .3gp.

Except that Graeme and I wouldn't fight. I consider Graeme a friend (and hopefully vice-versa), and that's one reason I feel I can say such things without it being taken personally. Mutual respect goes a long way towards allowing sometimes contrary opinions to peacefully coexist.

Granted, this only shows the Japanese DSLR market, but Nikon takes the lead. Nikon D90 = 13% market share (1 in 8 DSLRs)
Canon 5DMKII comes in at #13 on the chart at a measly 1.8% although the only full frame camera in the top 20.

So by this measure the real king of HD capable DSLRs is the 720P/Mjpeg Nikon D90, who'd of guessed?
