Question about Rack Focus with Nikon Mounts

Hey all. A newbie question, as I am currently in the anticipating phase of waiting for the box with my new camera to come to the door, but while doing so I've got a question that reading through 43 pages hasn't answered.

Mainly, can the Red Scarlet perform the Rack Focus feature I've read it can do on Canon lenses with a Nikon Mount and compatible lens? Or will it have to be an old school practiced turn of the focus ring?

I personally find all the electronic focus features on the RED too slow and unpredictable. Get yourself a good FF for this stuff and save yourself the headache.

I don't think I have ever turned the autofocus on with my ef mount.

Fair points from both of you. It's not a feature I intend to use all that often; I was just curious to see if it would even work. Although, on that note, Bob, do you have any reccomended companies I should look at to get a good quality FF. Not something in my immediate budget but definitely something I can start researching into.

I have been using my Zacuto Follow focus for more tham 3 years , and it is real solid.
