So I understand that the Epic and Scarlet cameras (both of which I shot tests on yesterday) no longer auto generate the QT wrappers or "proxies" in camera. I attempted to generate wrappers for the .r3d files shot with both cameras and they all just open to a grey screen. So if this ability is enabled in RCX, why can't I get picture?

We have long relied on QT wrappers as quick and easy offline only workflow that saves hours of transcoding and ingest time. If the generate QT wrappers in RCX is broken for these newer cameras this significantly impacts how we work on long form projects and spots with fast turn around.

Brandon,

Wrappers generated from RCX that reference Epic and Scarlet footage won't work until we release an updated Quicktime codec.

Thanks for the reply. Any ETA on the codec?
