Hi.

Finally getting ready to release Qi 2018
Check the full features on our webpages.

Outside fixes and updates, there are two features to play with:

1st - Transcode on ingest:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFs6Ha4QeWE&t=2s

Mind that with this release for RED, only CUDA transcodes are supported.

The transcode options include a pretty cool LUT integration.
Watch for our upcoming tutorials.

2nd is a feature that has been "In there" for quite a while, but we haven't really emphasised, the ability to automate multi-camera and metadata sync for the editorial stage.
The reason we have waited to show this feature, is because we have waited to have a good transcode option.

Qi 2018 has been the main workflow-application in several larger production houses the last year, and we are extremely proud of this release
We'll be updating with new tutorials to dive into the more advanced workflows over the next few weeks.

Cool. Last time around, I got swamped and didn't get a chance to really test this. But definitely need to check it out thoroughly this time!

Nice, Gunleik. I look forward to this.

Thanks.

I think the application has matured a lot over the last year, being constantly abused in a lot of production-environments daily.
"2018" features have been long in the coming, because the paying customers have been more focused on advanced filtering of destinations for specific filetypes, multi-project applications - so that you can work with several projects at the same time from the same UI" and multi-user scenarios - where several users ingest, transcode and log to the same project at the same time from different computers.

Thus some of the "normal" problems, like transcodes, have had to wait a bit.
But now they are here, and we will likely add ARRI and Sony RAW SDK's... if paying customers request that :)

The main thing about the app, though is to make "production rules" that makes most daily production-chores into drag-and-drop operations.

Here's the basics:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKWv27J-wPY&feature=youtu.be

And as you do new operations in the production for the first time, you set up rules that is remembered throughout, and if a new user connects to the project, he/she inherits the same rules and can "just start working"

It has become an incredibly efficient and robust workflow manager.
And of course, it's the "second half" of QuineBox™IoT
