Hi

I´ve just received our Epic-M and did a few tests yesterday. Apart from artifacts and noise in 250fps ISO 250 I encountered a problem that makes my footage useless.

I often get purple pixels on the righthand side of the image, it seems to happen at all settings. It´s in the highlight area, but not in the clipping.

Anyone experienced this?

I did a blackbalance and I´m on 1.6.20

Can you email me an r3d still frame?

My experience is to always shoot ISO800 and ND down. AFAIK ISO800 is the native sensitivity of the Epic's amplifiers and A/D conversion, and straying away from that you experience a drop in dynamic range, amongst other things.

Also, upgrade to 1.6.27 and redo your black balance, I can't remember if .20 had the "old" black balance or not (which didn't really do anything) - (remembering to select current FPS/exposure)

Hi
I will email some stills when I get back home in an hour.
Thanks for the quick replies
