Check out 'Scratch', a spot I DP'd, and completely shot on the Red. Directed by the talented Reynier Molenaar, a Red enthusiast and someone who is always pushing the technology. We had a great time shooting at what is usually an impossibly expensive location, bundle that with with some 'interesting' interaction with the boardwalk locales and you've got a couple of really fun shoot days.

Here's some stills and some BTS footage on the site.
Update: spot got picked up on Boards Magazine and Notcot.
Thanks for checkin' it out!
Eli

uh. the original short was much better. nice to see that puma is happy with a stolen idea :)

i dont like the light in the faces, a bit too harsh for my taste. but thats probably just me.

Cool, well now we have the douche-bag perspective. Anybody else have something intelligent to add?

Eli, thumbs up amigo. Looks great!

I am sorry that I am not in happyland with you guys, I think that negative criticism often is a bit more helpful than the usual "that's great" cheering.

So maybe Eli will use a frame of half diffusion or so the next time for the face, maybe not, but he will think about it and then that would have helped already, no?

I think a negative criticism of one's aesthetic is uncalled for. We are all putting ourselves out there in a creative endeavor which leaves us vulnerable. Perhaps you could be a bit more sensitive to this in the future.

Yep lighting is obviously too much and dj looks kinda like db in his turned cap.

Funny that in original one dj looks like he is pretty stoned :sifone:
