"Psalm 21" teaser trailer

[Neil Larson]

I thought this trailer was very cool. I studied in sweden for a couple years and speak decent swedish.

I showed my wife this trailer and she FREAKED out. She got so scared it caused a fight. I had my laptop with me so I hit record and the conversation turned out hilarious. She was accusing me of being a satan worshiper and bringing evil into our home. I posted it for you to see how effective your trailer is. Just take a watch.

If she finds out I posted this, she's gonna kill me.

[Phil McCarty]

A. That is hysterical.
B. Er... you are putting yourself at a grave risk for being very very single, and there's nothing more "satanic" than being single. Right?

This is by far the best reaction I've encountered for this teaser, it's super!! Thanks for putting your relationship at risk for this jewel!

Haha, my eyes are tearing from laughter Your wife's rly one of a kind
(And I mean that in a good way - Don't send Satan after me ^^)

But yeah, the effects are good and it is rly scary So I understand how a person with certain beliefs can react like that

This is good stuff! I love the color and the grading. Great work guys! When will you release a trailer to get more facts about the story?

[C_Skaff]

Thanks Fredrik.
I did the grading, on a daVinci Resolve RT.
For the teaser we used DPX's as a source, but hoping to upgrade to the new R3D native support before we do the final grade this summer.

Wait, where? Tried to find that to be able to translate it because it's a Psalm that originated from denmark, translateded into Swedish so I assumed that it didn't exist in english.

And yes, Andres is a hell-of-atographer

The tune is a very popular hymn in American (and presumably Anglican) Christian churches. Here it goes by the name "Fairest Lord Jesus". Here's a link to the lyrics:

As you can see, these are not the words from Psalm 21. Different words, same tune.

Film looks VERY spooky (and well-photographed!)

[Ousa Khun]

looks very interesting. I buy the DVD! The little girl reminds me of my neighbors.

Thanks, this means that a core part of the story will be understood outside of Sweden.

The little girl reminds me of my neighbors.

Interesting neighbors

[Marco Montenegro]

Wow...I will see that girl in my nightmares for at least two weeks.
Looks great, can't wait to see more!

[Christoffer Glans]

we never figured that the girl would be that scary... we really enjoy that everyone loves that scary moment! Thanks y'all!

I have to say the girl really isn't that scary. We've all seen the face-warp before, and frankly, the girl looked a little too "healthy", if you'd like, to be seen as scary or demonic.

The sound definitely was the "scary" part.

Loving it. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great! Please submit this film to Bergen Internasjonale Filmfestival so I can see it

[Fredrik Bohlin]

Really nice pics! :smile5: Could you upload some high-res pictures maybe?
