Hi all,
i went through the forum and google for a bit but couldn't find anything related to that problem. Just a lot of adobe/red workflow articles that did not help me out.
Hopefully you guys can help me out.
I got the following problem:
A single clip shot on red can/will be multiple files in the clip-folder, if the file size exceeds 4gb. For example:
A001_A001_0607AB_001.R3D (4gb)
A001_A001_0607AB_002.R3D (4gb)
A001_A001_0607AB_003.R3D (4gb)
A001_A001_0607AB_004.R3D (2gb)
and so on.
Let's just assume it's a 35sec take i did. The clips 001-003 are 10sec long and 004 is 5sec long.
If i import and encode my raw-files via prelude, the adobe media encoder takes every clip-part (001, 002, 003, 004) and renders the full clip with it.
So with the example from above, i'd get 4 clips, all 35sec's long, same file size.
Depending on the amount of clips, it multiplies the rendering time and also disc space.
For now i manually went through the render queue and deleted every clip that was not 001. It's fine, and i'm not losing any footage. It's just a pain in the a*** to do...
Workstation is a 5K imac. Adobe is the latest CC version (may 2015).
Thanks in advance!
cheers
