  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

i was wondering if the look of the quick time wrapers can be changed to represent the raw files.
i ask because i recorded them using a pretty nasty look in camera by accident - making it almost impossible to edit with them in fcp.

i basically just want to get rid of the "look" and just watch the "raw" version.
i red in a post that one is able to "resave" the r3d's quick time proxies but was hoping there is a faster way then to open, change and save each clip that way.

any help much apprechiated guys.

Just make one .RSX in RA and have it applied to all your files with RR or Clipfinder. This will mean some transcoding, though.

is it possible to create new proxies in red rushes then?

i thought rr is "only" able to render out different formats.
i ask because i was hoping those qt proxies would not have to be rendered as they're just pointers.

thanx for the help so far.

thanx tim - but i thought i red about red alert not being able to show raw - but just an approximation.
i took the absence of a "raw" button in red alert always as evidence of that statement.
i never found out why that wouldn't be possible and kept my strange theory that red alert isn't able to actually read the r3d files natively all to myself...

thanx so much for helping out guys. very much appreciated.
