Hello all.

Having issues doing the XML thing to link a proxy edit to R3D files.

- Got some Dragon R3Ds as well as the proxies that correspond to the footage.
- Installed Red Cine X on my editing station (PC - Win 07) and decided to test re-linking the proxies to the R3D files.
- Created a super simple timeline in Premiere, created a mock edit (only a few files, no effects, no transitions, just simple cuts).
- Saved.
- Exported an XML.

- Got Cine-X running, checked that I could read the R3D (yes), and selected Import.
- Selected the camera folder that contains the R3D folders, subfolders and files.
- Selected the XML file.
- Cine-X processed something ... but then nothing appeared on the timeline.

Also tried the same thing with only one proxy clip in the timeline, to no avail.
Am I doing something wrong? Are there other ways of doing this?

Thanks for your input.

Still dealing with this pesky issue.
I'm going to paste the information I get from RED Cine X's import log.

After selecting the R3D media location and importing the Premiere XML file, an RCX window pops up and says "Generating clips", which suggests that things are working well ... and yet nothing appears in the timeline.
Very frustrating.

(By the way, although I'm editing on a PC, I've run the test on a Mac and I get the exact same result.)

FYI.

In the end, I solved the issue by ditching Red Cine X and working with Resolve. Worked like a charm.
