Hey there,

I put together a sequence in FCP using proxies from build 17. I sent the sequence to color and it matched the clips to the R3d files. Only problem is that most of the matches are incorrect. Looks like the R3d is correct, but the in/out points are not. There were also a few clips that seemed to loop a few frames over and over fur the duration of the clip.

Any ideas? Dan from tech support said using the proxies as opposed to the new log and transfer tool, should work fine.

Thanks,
Howie

Nope. No speed changes. Nothing in FCP except a REDCODE seq with straight cuts between shots.

I'm having the same problem. It seems random, like a caching issue, because if I scrub the same shot multiple times, I get different results (different frames showing), and if I restart Color, all will be well with that shot, maybe (like I said, random), but another shot will start to do the same thing.

Having the same issue once in a while. I think it's a Color issue.

It's always been pretty buggy. Still worth the trouble!

It is a Color issue, but it's specific to sending an FCP edit using the Red's reference Quicktimes. I've color timed two reels of a film using rendered Quicktimes of exactly the same edit, with no problem.

Yes, I prefer to work with a single Quicktime and an EDL as well, but as you note, I'm trying to time the raw files without having to re-wrap everything in the cut and waste all that drive space. Oh well. Nothing works quite right in the Final Cut Studio world, and adding Red to the mix is just one more beta variable. (sigh)
