What type of quality can u expect from recording in ProRes/DNxHD?

is it downsampling and providing a cleaner image that strait 2k RAW?

if I remember right, that was Alexa's and C300claim if using larger sensor/pixel count

Quality of a 2k Prores file downscaled from >4k crops look amazing. 2K raw footage is usable but not even close to as good as >4k downscaled prores option IMO.
On Helium sensors, 4K prores downscaled from 8k image area should also look draw-jopping.

This question has probably been answered, but.. can DSMC2 be put into a mode where it records ONLY ProRes/DNxHD for storage sensitive applications?

don't own a Weapon, but the idea of ProRes full sensor read @ 120fps... seems amazin.

if you pushed the data rate, wonder what the max is?

Follow up question -- are you able to choose what curves is applied to ProRes/DNxHD files? ie (RG3/4) or flat (RLF)?

You can still only get a max frame rate of the resolution that the camera is set to regardless of the max framerate of prores, even if only prores is being recorded.
