RED DEVIL or RED EVIL

RED DEVIL or RED EVIL

DSMC reminds me of USMC - How about something along those lines?

Devil [Dog]

I was going to suggest RED DEVIL or RED EVIL

On www.dpreview.com we have been calling this kind of camera "EVIL" -- Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens

The best to date is the Konika Monolta A2, which is still my go-everywhere, do-everything reasonably-well camera -- I'm on my third.

My main 'work' cameras are Olympus E1 and E300 ... and note that 4/3 is a MOVIE full-frame camera. Regular 35mm is actually double a movie frame.

[Matthew Lochman]

RED "whatever Jim wants to call it"

GRAIL

[Brian Stretch]

GRAIL

So ya picked up on the Sangreal metaphor? Electro Harmonix makes a Holy Grail reverb unit. It seems to be the correct direction for the Final Word in DSLR's? Though I will admit Cardinal is growing on me.

[Clint Johnson]

Red Shift

A movement toward the red end of the spectrum in the wavelength of light reflected from a camera that is rapidly moving ahead of the rest of the camera development world. The greater the redshift, the faster the camera is moving.

This Red Shift is also observable evidence of the expanding image capturing universe.

Alternately - The Red Menace

It has probably already been put forward and I simply missed it as I skimmed the thread, but it just seems so apropos from "their" POV.

[Benni Diez]

RED CANNON (v 2.0 with large format sensor)

Oh and watch out when still and video will finally merge into the Imax-and-every-effin-other-camera-killer:
