Hello guys, i need some help.

I have a Paralinx ACE 1:1 (hdmi only) and i need to use it with the i/o expander on my Scarlet-W. I've just read that using third party p-tap ports with video transmitters can be dangerous and Red suggests to use the USB port. Now i get to the point, any of you knows where i can get a usable power to USB cable for that transmitter? Searching on the internet i found that there's one available for the Paralinx Arrow receiver but i don't know if it's ok with the ACE.
If i use the ptap on the top of the expander i'm safe? I think it was made for this kind of applications but you'll never know... the last thing we want is to kill the camera. I'm open to every kind of suggestion.

Thank you very much!

Hi guys, i've just got a responce from Paralinx itself and hope it can help you too: The Ace cannot be powered via USB and trying to do so can damage the device. The HDMI Ace needs to be powered with a 7-17V input into the barrel connector. Our polarity is the same as Red's so you can use our P-tap to barrel cables for power.

Hi Stefano, I also have the Paralinx Ace and have been using Paralinx's P-Tap to barrel power cable from my V-Lock I/O Expander with no issues.

You can get it here:
