Wanted to take a poll here...

Looking at purchasing another Production bag and I wanted to get everyone's opinion. Looking at another CineBag, but also considering the Arri Medium or Large bag.

What are you guys using?

Looking for the cheapest, most durable bag here. Nothing too huge either.

Thoughts?

I get laughed at - gently 'ribbed' on every new set because I use a Husky plumbers tool box / bag thingy that I picked up at Home Depot. Works well for all the AKS that I like to keep close to camera on set, has pouches & compartments to keep stuff sorted.

Not for everyone - in fact not for anyone else that I've seen.

I've got one too. The rigid supports in the sides and in the closing flaps allow me to Carry other bags/equipment on top without crushing the contents.

+1 on Husky LOL. I also made a Husky AC pouch (dry erase markers, multi-tool screwdriver, bubble level, utility knife, etc). Served me well for 5 years and running.

If my memory serves me I think Glen has something like this:

Yes Bob That's more or less the one I have - The 1st A.C.'s that I use usually show up with larger soft sided bags and 3x as much stuff, so my 'kit' really is pared down a bit. But even on jobs without an AC I find that this carries everything I need.

Not laughing at all :) ...I actually use a Thule tote thats meant for the back of one's vehicle as my primary back. Its light, has large capacity, and has waterproof material. Plus a nice flap that covers it.

The Husky tool bag is the NO#1 tool bag for anyone in G&E for NYC. I love mine when I'm gaffing, even when I DP I still bring it to set. Great bags that will last.

Glad to hear - I may put that on a Tshirt for my next gig.

Well in the G&E department, no one never really asks someone to pass them their bag, they usually ask them to pass them their husky.

This is what I'm using:

I'm a big fan of the Arri Large bag. I use them for local transport of my Epics. Its easy to internally partition and pad them with velcro dividers. Good clear pocket system in the lid. Exterior pockets are well padded and there are also two "can" shaped pockets for canned air or whatever (usually have some clear garbage bags for temp rain protection in the other). Build quality is good and they are waterproof. Nice and tall too. I would say the only not so great thing is the shoulder strap. Its a little whimpy and could use some additional padding. The strap sometimes blocks the end outside pockets because of where the strap connects to the bag. Neither is really a big deal. Also there is no "handle", just the strap. You would need to add an aftermarket clip on handle, a la portabrace, if you want one.
