Alright so I have an issue with my monitor setup. By no means is it a pro setup but it is what I can afford at the moment. I have a nMac Pro running two monitors, one dell 27" qhd display as main, and a 24" UHD display to monitor. They both support hardware calibration, but only the 24" has mac support for the hardware cal, the 27" is only software calibrated with an Xrite i1Display pro and here is the problem. When i apply the icc profile created by the Xrite to the 27", and open either Davinci Resolve or any of the Red software, my footage looks way saturated and contrasty compared to how it looks on the 24". The OS and all other programs look fine, including FCPX, when opened in quicktime or FCP its fine. The issue is isolated to Davinci resolve and red software, Even the UI on these changes depending on the monitor.
These softwares must be interpreting the icc profile in a weird way. This has been bugging the crap out of me for a while.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
