Problems with FCP log&transfer and 3K...

[CK Olsen]

Does Final Cut commonly choke on 3K footage?
Setup a log and transfer for a slew of 4K and 3K tests... all the 4K worked flawlessly, as usual, but all the 3K would not import. Any hints?
And yes, all the footage is fine, just final cut no likey the 3K.

I always convert my 3k stuff to 2k Prores in Redcine before editing, otherwise Color will convert the footage to 1.5k.
Sorry to not answer your question.

I believe 3K is not yet supported fully in FCP:
