Colour chips are usable only as a rough reference.
They are ideal values, with offsets affected by colour science, exposure, light source and environment (lens and ND being the same).
Different surfaces are affected by light differently, by properties of absorption, reflectiveness and translucency, especially skin with its layers and palette, and using those rudimentary chips as a reference to force ideal values does not necessarily bring accurate overall image and in many cases it will mess it up and require more work to undo the effect of basic CC. Those charts are usable for camera matching within the same scene and exposure. Roughly. That approach doesn't work across the scenarios varying with light, environment and exposure because too many variables affect what is captured of those chips. If it is a different camera things multiply further.
