Problem with RedRocket

Our RedRocket is no longer functioning. When I load Redcine-X, footage won't play at normal Rocket speeds and when I run RocketCine-X I get the following messages in the following order one after another:

'Your RedRocket driver is out of date. You have version: 0.0.0.0, you need version 1.1.4.0'

'Your RedRocket driver is out of date. You have version: 0.0.0.0, you need version 1.1.6.8'

'Your RedRocket is in a 0x PCI-Ex Lane. The RedRocket requires and 8x lane to perform properly.'

'Your RedRocket has detected a PCI-Ex speed of 0. The RedRocket requires a minimum of 250 to perform properly.'

'Your RedRocket has detected a PCI-Ex Lane width of 0. The RedRocket requires a minimum of 64 to perform properly.'

I've tried re-installing the RedRocket Drivers and 1.1.8.6 Firmware from red.com/support, following all directions to the letter, but it's not rectifying the problem.

Any suggestions?

Had this problem myself today... apparently the new versions of the Rocket Drivers require the newest version of RedCine-X... Rocketcine-x has been put to rest. If you want to use rocketcine-x you have to downgrade your drivers/firmware.

Call red support. I had problems at first. They can guide you through the fix. They did for me.

Thanks for all the advice. The newer firmware is what was causing the RocketCine-X problem - I think I remember now someone saying (maybe in the Q&A last week) that RocketCine-X was not going to get updated, should have thought of that.

It turns out that after encountering the problem with RocketCine-X we tried reinstalling Redcine-X too and when we launched it the 'Use Rocket' option was unchecked, which I guess is the default. Having Rocket acceleration in Redcine-X has become second nature and it didn't even cross my mind to check the settings (!)

Why isn't this clearly stated in the release history page for the latest REDROCKET firmware/drivers?

I feel like that's kind of a significant thing to find out after the fact.
