Hello everybody,

today we have been testing two reds in combination with an idx camwave wireless hd transmitter and i had the following experience:

- i connected camera A to monitor via BNC cable and got a picture
- i feed another output of the red hd-sdi into a camwave (IDX) - i got a picture on a second monitor (which was connected to the IDX receiver), but this picture was scrolling all the time (like in the old days, when accidently changing the v-hold position of a CRT-monitor)

I cross changed all the cables to check it was not a monitor problem.

- now I took a third monitor (all different brand by the way: sony, tv logic, astro) and connected the hd-sdi loop through of the IDX camwave transmitter via cable to the third monitor: the picture of the loop through was stable, the wireless picture still scrolling at the same time.

- now I took another camera (sony something) - the picture stopped scrolling: stable on every monitor

- now I took another red one (camera B) - the picture stopped scrolling: stable on every monitor

- I tested camera A (red one) again - picture scrolling via wireless

- I power cycled camera A - no change

- I reinstalled the firmware (build 30.7.0) on camera A - no change

Anyone else ever experienced this kind of problem?

Best wishes and kind regards,
Martin

p.s. i used all kinds of idx camwaves for a couple of months already - never saw this before ...

SDI out 50 hzs...

Like Vico says, it's the refresh rate (hertz) of your video output. Depending on your Wevi it's 50 or 60hz, this is independent of framespeed.
RED menu:
SYSTEM -> MONITOR -> PVW REFRESH -> 50/60hz
