Hi everyone
So, we recently shot some 4K HD Scarlet footage for a client, to be edited by an external editor. I shot at 23.9 and 10:1 compression, as delivery was web 1080.
The editor was editing in a PP timeline with some other 4K HD footage, shot on an Epic, same settings except 7:1.
The editor complained that the Epic footage was playing back fine, but everything slowed to a crawl when playing back my Scarlet footage. He suggested that it might have something to do my settings - the only difference I could identify was the compression ratio.
I don't know the full details of the editors set up, but it sounds like a pretty solid multi-core mac pro. But don't know what graphics cards (maybe ati?)
I understand that there are a lot of unknowns, and more likely to be a problem with his system, but I just wondered if anyone had encountered this problem?
Thanks
