Hi, I've graded all my clips that were shot on the RED in Redcine and saved the project. The film is already edited in premiere pro. I'm now trying to bring that metadata into Premiere. If i right click on a clip I can go to source settings and that allows me to reload from RMD, but just for that clip. I obviously need to do this for every clip on the timeline, but I can't find a way to do this as a batch. In the bin I can select multiple clips, and go through the aforementioned process, but then it applies the metadata from the first selected clip to all subsequent clips, which is obviously not what I need as each clip has been individually graded in Redcinex. I basically need to know if there is a way to reload from RMD for each clip as a batch rather than having to sit there and do it individually for each one which would take hours (this is only a ten minute video, imagine doing this on a feature). Thank you!

Hi Slobodan,

This is a frustration with Premiere currently. It would be a good idea to put a feature request into Adobe for this one to allow updating of multiple RMD's at once. The more they get, the higher up it goes on the priority list. Hopefully it will be added to CS6. Make a feature request here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

In the mean time though, I've covered a work around for this problem in a tutorial here:
http://www.youtube.com/results?sear...nced+Workflow+Tips+in+CS5.5&high_definition=1

Just watch onward from the 29:30 mark :)

It involves exporting out your sequence as a FCP XML and then re-importing it. Re-importing the FCP XML forces Premiere to reload all the meta-data from the R3D's.

Hope it helps :)

The issue I'm having is that I can't import the XML! I'm getting a generic error....any other options?

Just to keep everyone up to date - I tired this in Premiere CS6 yesterday and it still exhibits the same behaviour as 5.5 in this regard. There still seems to be no nice method to reload RMD's for a whole group of R3D files - which is a bit of a shame.
