Hey everyone,

I feel bad asking this, however I am currently just trying to hook a simple shotgun mic to my pro i/o module to properly receive audio and levels etc. After playing with the audio settings, I can't quite seem to get any levels on my monitor at all. How easy is this process? Anything obvious I'm missing? If anybody could share a simple approach to getting the audio to work with the pro i/o and a simple shotgun mic, I would greatly appreciate it.

What Brand/Model mic is it?
As Andrew said, make sure it has power.

Some of the cheaper models may require a battery instead of phantom power; the bottom (connector) side of the mic should unscrew to access the battery compartment
