  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Problem> Crimson - RedCine: FAILED TO LOAD CONSTRUCT

Hi,
i have the same problem.
When i try to open the xml file made with crimson in redcine i get the error "Failed to Load Construct". I've tried to add the prefix but it doesn't fix the problem. Moreover, i can't read the troubleshooting on http://www.redhax.net/wiki/Crimson_Workflow#Troubleshooting_Cowboy_Intermediates cause this problem (see the attached file).

thx a lot for your support.

PM me your phone number.

Hello everyone.

I hope people are still watching this thread, as it seems to be a few months old. We're having the same problem with the RedCine "fail to construct" issue.

We've tried all of the proposed solutions in this thread but with no luck. When comparing the XML's, all file paths matched up without volume names - example below:

<source>"/Users/editsuite/Documents/Crimson Workflow Documents/Intermediates/01 Lisa OFFLINE/Z000001-A001_C042_06094S_001.R3D"</source>

For the heck of it, I tried adding the prefix in Crimson as suggested... Still nothing.

Not sure what we are doing wrong here. We did an edit in October using the exact same 'FCP > Crimson > RedCine > Crimson > FCP' workflow with absolutely no problems.

We don't have to conform this footage until Monday, but I'd like to resolve this now as it is starting to scare us..

Any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!

Okay, did some digging around all morning and I believe we fixed the problem for us.

When following Priit's recommendation (from earlier in this thread), I did the re-coding wrong.

However, I went through again and double checked all my tags in the the _telecine.xml file and boom! It worked!

Frame accurate and everything. Thanks Priit!!

I never knew my basic html knowledge from school would come in handy! lol.
