I think what is least commented and still most important with scarlet is the ability to record RedCode 100. My bet is that with a new sensor and lower compression, we can see even better images (in some situations) than from the current RED.

2/3" Chip. Hey... We're talking the same size as a F23 Guys. Have you checked the pricepoint on that lately? But there's more...
Barry gave a lot of good info and speculation arround the actyal sensor size on 2/3" cams. Very usefull. BUT, what if REDs sensor program is to keep it simpe, thus actually giving us a 2/3" sensor. There would be a lot of advantages for all (including RED) with this. The Mysterium X program would only be only 1, cropped differently for the different cams, and all you guys screaming for shallow DOF would actually get that with a magnitude of X compared to "traditional" 2/3" cams. Like the F23... :) (I am not suggesting anything of image comparison here...)

Skew. The readout rates 180fps hints @, gives the perspective of more than 40% improvement.

It looks like a solid little bugger... I would be much more happy to put Scarlet in harms way than my ONE for that tricky shot. And if it brakes, it costs less than a lense.

Three things I'm interested in is Latitude, ISO and How wide the lens is.
Actually, the only worries I have is that the lens isn't good on the wide part.
The reason I got an mini35 adapter for my current camera was only because I wanted a real quality wide image (because the built in lens sucks). I'm more interested in that then DOF.
With wide, I'm not really talking 5mm, I'm happy with 15mm or 16mm as the widest. Last movie I made I was down at 17mm and that felt sooooo good :D
