Hi Guys,
I'm using the Weapon Helium recording 2K and 4K pro res LT proxies for fcpx. I noticed in Premiere, you can attach the in camera proxies to the R3D's to cycle between the 8K and 2K files which is pretty cool although I use FCPX for everything. I've been trying to think of ways to do the same in FCPX without transcoding (That would make recording proxies in camera pointless). Is there a way to attach proxies from FCPX to the R3D's without doing it one by one in each folder? The best thing I can think is to somehow separate all the pro res LT files from each folder, put them into one proxy folder while deleting their original location and then relinking to the R3D's but I'm not sure of any software that can locate quicktimes in multiple folders. I hope this makes sense? I run my own company so workarounds using different programs like premiere or something is fine and it doesn't need to go through a specific workflow here. If there is a way, let me know. Thanks!
