  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Wondering why the Helium Pro Res specs in TV size are 2048 x 1080. Is there a 1920 x 1080 option, or does one need to crop in post to utilize Pro Res in 16 x 9 HD TV format? Thanks for any insight.

Hey Mike,

I just used ProRes today on the Scarlet-W. In 5K Full Frame the specs are 2048x1080. In 5K HD, it drops to 1920 x 1080.

I believe if you move your format to 8K HD, 7K HD, 6K HD etc, you'll get the 16x9 option by default.

Maybe someone else can chime in, but I'd believe all the DSMC2's would be the same.

If you go into the recording format in settings you'll see the dimensions lower down the list after selecting ProRes.
