A good solution for audio to save on space is to use XLR 5 inputs so CH 1/2 on one connector and 3/4 on a second connector. be good for this option to be on the Big pro I/O too.

I would buy one as soon as it became available in the store. Make sure there is a way to attach a v-mount or v-mount system to the back of it.

Pro I/O is too big and too expensive for backpack/traveling/lightweight configs where you just need some good audio connections without dangling boxes off your camera.

Yes, definitely would be a great addition and preserve (and enhance) the Epic's clear size advantage (among others) to any competition present or future. Prefer without module adapter, of course, but would accept with if necessary.
