I have a few questions regarding RED's Pro Battery Module. The first is, does anyone have a photo of the Quad Module? I just saw one recently, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

- When the Quad Battery Module is released in January, will it be available for purchase by itself? (Not as part of an EPIC package?) And, will it still be priced at $1,950?

- Does anyone who may have used it before know how long four REDVOLTs in the Quad Battery Module will last on an EPIC or Scarlet?

- Will the Dual Battery Module ever be released, or has it been abandoned? And if it will be released, will it still cost $1,450?

Also, does anyone have a price for the Quad Charger and Module Adaptor?

Here is a video I made a while back.. vimeo.com/30612539
Hope it helps you. I don't know the price but you can find it on the forms some where. The battery life was good and it jumps to the next one when its done. Then would go to the handle if it was on the camera.. With 8 or so redvolts you can just keep going.

I believe this is the quad. Somebody can confirm?

Sean, that video you made is absolutely brilliant. Until now, I've only seen renderings and a few small photos of it, but that video is amazing! I really have a better idea now of how it works, how it attaches to the camera and how large it is. Thank you very, very much for having made that. =)

How long do four REDVOLTs typically last you?

Yes, that's a Quad.

Would there be any advantages to using a quad battery module over a few v-mount batteries? I feel as if you are heavily invested in the redvolts it would be great, but what would be the reason to get that over a vmount system?

To me, the system looks cleaner. I don't have any V-mount batteries, so I'm trying to decide which route to go. One disadvantage of the REDVOLT system, however, is the lack of D-Tap connectors.

One issue I have with my side handle is the locking system. It sucks. Batteries pop out of the slot like every time. I have to close the handle and force
the volt to stay inside. I hope the locking system of the quad is better than that... :/

I just sent my side handle in to Red to have that fixed. it came back working well.

Is this a common issue among Side Handles?

Hey,
When we had the quad the 4 of them lasted quite a while 8-10 redvolts shoudl do a whole day with two chargers with this but who knows when they will ship.
