  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Primes to go with Angenieux Optimo DPs? Sigma?

Thanks to everyone for the contribution! Great insights here. Don't get me wrong, I really don't want to sell the DPs, I think they are great and with the prices for used ones being as low as they are now, selling them is not clever. I am just tired of swapping mounts when I use my zooms and primes on the same shoot. So the Styles would solve this problem with their ef mounts, but that is a rather silly upgrade, as they are basically the same lenses. I guess I will keep on swapping lens mounts for the time being...

Try this...

Worth a shot for $130. I have a bunch of C7 adapters and a Panavision mount from them, all high quality gear.

It fits, but the problem is not the bayonet, it's what's inside the EF Mount itself...around the sensor.

DPs protrude A LOT so that adapter would work only on m43 or NEX EOS adapters with a large aperture (internal diameter)...

on RED EF Mounts...not so much...due to the internal AR masks and contact pins...maybe on RED VV EF Mounts which are internally larger???

Well then add this...

The CN-E primes don't require the electronic connection for iris control, this mount is probably just as strong as the Red OEM without the internal baffle issues and with the addition of the PL adapter you should be able to use all your glass without removing any mounts from the cam.
