price increase of scarlet x canon mount packages after 1st of january 2012, too?

[Mariano T.]

I have a question and maybe someone here knows the answer already: on the scarlet announcement thread Mr. Jannard wrote about the price increase of the base package: body, Canon Al mount and side SSD before 31st of december is 9,750 dollars, after 1st of january 2012 it`ll be 9,700 dollars for the body only - does this apply in any way to the "Scarlet X Canon Al mount package" - I mean, does the price of 14,015 dollars or the package`s content change after january 1st 2012, too?

Yes, you can find it many places on here but unfortunately it will rise either way.

Yes, the same package will cost you $3,100 more starting with January.

I also think I remember reading if you purchased it after Jan 1 it wouldn't come with a mount. Or that the body alone would be $9700 not including a mount...Might be wrong.

thanks, guys, especially stefan! I think I should hurry up with getting it...

I bet they will get a LOT of orders on the last week of December, for this reason, and for business tax-deduction reasons as well.
Several people have mentioned that they're waiting . . . . for Nikon lens mounts, other accesories, or just money.

Good to know. That's like 25% cheaper right now then.

Indeed. Thats the reason I jumped on it first thing.
