  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Price for a 2k filmout?

there was a place in US I think in seattle,
that's famous for filmout transfer for indie
films...can anybody remember?

We don't accept to print material that haven't being graded from one of our partners worldwide with a proper color managed calibrated Log process...

Never the less, if you are accepting the possible problems and the quality loss of a REC709 linear workflow can introduce, we can film record your movie... with the poor man's way... granted that we will do an one light grade to put it in a ballpark...

Our prices are starting from 20110 euro's for a 90 minutes transfer in a LaserGraphics filmrecorder with camera negative, one zero copy with Dolby SR optical. We also do the free one minute test thing as everyone else does...

They can go higher if we use ARRIlaser and Dolby digital...

Our quality of film recording is the same as in calibrated process... the difference is the grading process that doesn't give a good image...

I have to stress that in order to get the best results only a calibrated process with proper color management is able to archive it... if you go for a REC709 low cost I believe there are other labs that can do that with less strict quality control tolerances, for that reason, cheaper than us...

On the other hand we are open for partners, post production houses that want to be able to deliver world class DI process to their clients, in many countries so who ever wants can apply by email at Lakis@motionfx.gr... Have in mind that we don't accept Greece, Israel, Egypt, Cyprus, Netherlands, New York and Los Angeles... but don't hesitate to ask especially if you are in the US when we will have an opening in these areas...
 
Mark is your lastname 'indyfilmout' really on your birth certificate? Where is your facility located? Any recent projects you can share?
 
the best quality and pricing I have found is RajTaru in Mumbai, but you can call Tony Lehal at their Dubai offices on +971 505095296 he is really helpful and will get back to you with a full package cost with a grade from their Lustre to a film out.
