Maybe someone ones if there's a fix for this. As of now, I don't have a 4K monitor. So I´m using a Blackmagic Mini (something) to output through HDMI to my 1080 plasma screen.

Works fine with 1080p timelines of course. Does not work with 4K timelines, as the card doesnt handle 4K and cant downconvert. I can play 4K timelines smooth (without rocket) at 1/4 resolution. 1/4 resolution would be fine to output to my plasmascreen, so this is what I´m trying to achieve.

Unfortunantly when I put my 4K footage onto my 1080P timeline, i cannot playback at FULL (1080), because premiere want's to interpret the 4K material at full also even if it's sized down on a 1080p timeline. So I have to set this timeline to 1/4, which downresses the 1080 timeline even lower. The playback is smooth, but my footage is downressed way below the original "1/4 of 4K". Probably down to "1/8 or 1/16 of 4K". Is there any way to get Premiere to play 4K at 1/4 in a "full quality" 1080P timeline.
