I am looking to create a preset and map it to a button.
While shooting, I would go between the 23.98 and 72fps(or somthing else)
I would shoot 23.98 at 5k, then switch to a higher frame rate for slow motion, and in order to do so, I would have to drop the resolution down to 4k. So a couple of times, I forget that I'm in 4k and go back to shooting 23.98fps in 4k instead of 5k. Now, is there anywhere in the preset menu where I can add the resolution? I see that I can add the fps, but this doesn't exactly do what I need it to do if it doesn't also switch to the other shooting resolution.

Ok I figured it out. I added some other options in the preset editor. under project submenu, I have these selected
project frame rate
record format
recording options
sensor frame rate
shutter display mode
and shutter mode

any idea which of these control the resolution and which controls the frames per second?

also I have done two presets. one for 4k at 71.93 fps and another at 5k 23.978 and mapped them to buttons. when I hit the button for the 4k @ 71.93fps option, it switches correctly. but then when I hit the button for the regular frame rate at 5k it goes to 5k @ 50.85fps, then the fps immediately changes to 23.978, then it goes to 49.95fps and stays there. but once I hit the button again, it goes to 23.978 and sticks. any idea why this occurs?

Record format is the resolution. Project frame rate and sensor frame rate both control your framerate. You can think of the project rate as the playback rate and the sensor rate as the capture rate. When the don't match you are in varispeed mode.

The behavior you describe is a bug that has already been reported and we are actively working on a fix for it. It will hopefully be resolved soon.

good to know its a bug and not something I'm doing wrong. I deleted all the presets and added them one by one and figured out that
"sensor frame rate" controls the frame rate.
"record format" controls the resolution

I was unaware about the project rate. so it's probably best that I keep that on as well.
Thanks for the response and the help. :-)
