  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

With the looming release of Build 16 and the SDK, we will be calling on all reservation holders (1-2000 that have not taken delivery yet) to make the decision whether or not to take delivery of their cameras in the near future.

If those of you currently sitting on the fence decide not to take delivery, we will happily refund your deposit but you will lose your slot. And deposits for a RED ONE are not transferrable to Epic or Scarlet... which will be due to ship sometime next year.

If you do decide to take delivery, you will still be eligible for the 100% trade in value on Epic... should you choose to upgrade when the time comes.

If you have changed your email address since placing your deposit, please let us know the new one...

sitting on the fence this long has got to hurt
 
Will this cause another delay possibly if people are forced to make a decision all of a sudden? My concern is people will begin paying up all of a sudden this month and then my group will be pushed back again due to this new influx of res holders who have been on the fence.
 
If late reservation holders are going to cause AGAIN a delay on shipments (last time it took nearly two months) i'm going to personally kill them one by one.
Of course i'm jockin'. :)

I'd really like to know how many are sitting on the fence out of those first 2,000. It would make a funny picture.....
 
With used Reds currently going for well over 17.500, I would be surprized if many would let go of their chance to buy a new red.

But I totally understand Red's decision, that way they can plan much better for future demand.

I suspect all of them would love to have the camera. It's just a question of can their pocketbooks take the hit?

Jim please don't allow this to push back the delivery of my camera any further. I'm sure everyone who's been waiting will be standing on eachother's necks to pay and take delivery.
 
Sorry for asking again Jim, but can you estimate when we will get a beta or release build 16? Need to give the producers a date for testshoots for upcoming feature productions. We are all waiting so hard... :)

Beta 16 in the next day or two...

You Americans and your wacky slang... I can certainly see where it would be "a snot" for them if you were to delay the next group.
