Wondering if anyone else is experiencing exporting issues inside premiere pro cc 2014? I have a collection of 4k & 5k footage inside a 1920x1080 timeline. This method of "scaling to frame size" is something that I have done hundreds of times on my old machine using CS6. Not sure if that is the issue.

When I go to export, premiere just hangs there indefinitely at the 1% mark. Check out my screenshots.

I have to force quit premiere because my whole system goes wacky. Can't boot anything else up. Just move the mouse around. When I force quit premiere, none of my other apps work... they just bounce on the dock forever. I have to restart my whole machine.

I know there are multiple scenarios I should try to troubleshoot, but thought I'd start the conversation now to see if I'm the only one.

try without render maximum depth and maximum render quality.

This works, however the result is doing something else I forgot to mention when I am able to successfully export a video. I'm getting a clicking effect on the audio when watching using quicktime. Like it's distorting. I'm not peaking either, usually hitting about -3 in decibels inside premiere. it's probably just a QuickTime software issue. I'm going to export to Vimeo to see if the distortion still occurs. I remember after uploading to vimeo it solved the issue on a previous project I was working on. Seems like this may be more of a Mavericks issue.

I also want maximum depth and maximum render quality checked. So it's not really a solution.

Exporting to Vimeo solves the audio issue I was having. This is annoying though... I'm unable to watch a video on my machine using quicktime without the nasty distortion.

I usually always use ProRes HQ for both vimeo and youtube.

Julien, 10.9.4 seems to be working ok. However, I get the spinning wheel of death when changing apps. For instance, if I check my email or open up safari/firefox, the system locks up for about 10 seconds until it actually opens up the application. Even taking a screenshot is delayed for 15 seconds!

It's very frustrating to purchase something of this value and have it be so unreliable. To spend so much time trouble-shooting instead of actually working is maddening. So far working with the new mac pro has been a terrible experience. I want to support Apple so badly too.

Make sure you update your CUDA drivers. I mentioned this on the Mac Pro thread, but Adobe CC makes calls to the CUDA library even without a cuda-compatible card. This helped performance and stability immensely.

Make sure you dont have any sharpening applied in the source settings. I dont mean the unsharpen mask but the other dropdown list above the noisereduction.
