Hi,

This is probably an obvious one, but I can't seem to find an answer when I search it. My Premiere CC 15 (and all previous versions) will show thumbnails for smaller R3D files, but as soon as the video file is split into two because of length I have to open another folder to see the thumbnail. It is a bit of a pain for editing and I wonder if there is a way to stop Premiere from behaving like this.

Thank you for any advice offered.

Hello mate, that may be the way you're importing the R3Ds. If you drag and drop a folder into a bin from Finder (assuming Mac or Explorer) then you can get duplicates because of the way the files are split.

Best practice (and a little bit of a pita) is to use the media browser in Prem, navigate to each of your RDM folders and drag all the red clips from there into a new bin. Then rename the bin to the same as the RDM. Im sure there may be a faster way, but I know doing it this way it stops Prem creating a folder when the clip is split and not giving you a thumbnail view.

Hope that helps.
Bwe
