Premiere Not Liking Anamorphic From SW

Hey guys,

I have a curious issue and am wondering if anyone has encountered the same. I recently shot a project on my SW in a mix of 5k and 4k 6:5 anamorphic. Every file is totally fine and plays back beautifully in RedCine X, but for some reason when I bring everything into Premiere (12.0.1) every image is stretched at a strange diagonal. Check it:

Everything looks the same once brought into a timeline or opened in the source monitor. I'm flummoxed :sad: Maybe it's an Adobe issue? Has anyone else seen this?

I'm currently running v7.0.2 on my Scarlet.

Yup, I encountered the same.. The playback/scrubbing is normal though, only the thumbnails are skewed. My workaround is do the thumbnail preview in REDcine-X while remembering the chosen file names before turning back to Premiere.

I have the same problem in Premiere when i shot 4:3 (not anamorphic)

Can confirm this is happening coming from an Epic Dragon camera as well. Footage works just fine except the thumbs are skewed in the same way.

Think this is a firmware issue? Was it doing it with previous versions of the firmware? Does it do it in Resolve or another NLE?
