  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Premiere CS6's "Export Media" is one lazy bugger.

I don't do final outputs out of Premiere - i get premiere project to help with conforms in Resolve. What I need to be able to do is export a low res offline quicktime that I can use as a conform reference in Resolve, but as this thread has much discussed, exports out of Premiere are very slow.

The problem seems to be, in my case at least, an inability to set Premiere to export anything less than full res (via software debayer). I can play back the timeline in realtime at 1/4 res, but upon export it pops back down to full-res performance.

Anyone have a solution for this?

thanks,

John T.

WOW< Those time is ridiculous. How could you stand that? Then what if a small error pops up. Like the color grade switching on/off after a cut. Had that just happen.

Petri,
for what it is worth: I got tired of trying to render out of premier....BEST way i found is via AME---this dramatically improved things. WHY? don't know, but was the ONLY way i could get a render....I did an hour doc with heavy on effects and R3d with some mixed codecs and 22hours of rendering via AME....but out of premier direct just would not go at all....after 24 hours i gave up and went AME route. I'm using a Quadro 4000 card; RR card in an 8core with 32gb ram. Was really not impressed with the render times...So bad, i see beyond the positives of RAW editing and transcoding to prores 4444 from RCX as a better workflow....
