premiere - after effects workflow

hi my friends, im using premiere cs4 with a 4K sequence and 4K red footage,
i would like to use after effects to do some effects on some of the clips and also color finesse to color correct some of the clips in after effects, what is the recommended workflow to mix premiere and AE in this way in the most efficient way when we deal with 4K red footage?

1) to select clips in premiere and use - replace with AE composition?
2) to import premiere sequence from AE through dynamic link but then i cannot see the separated clips
3) any other way?

the thing is that in AE i need to see the separated clips of the timeline so that i can apply different effects or color finesse corrections to each

Start After Effects.
Choose File->Import File
and select your Premiere Pro Project.

It will then open in AE with each clip in its own layer.

finish edit, lock it in premiere pro.. then use method no. 1 .. replace with AE comps.. finish your work in the shot using AE ,, save,, back to PR .. evrything is fine.. the only down side is that you'll need lots of ram to do this.. maybe 12 gigs are just to start.. 24 gigs can be fine..
