  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey Guys I know there has been some issues around Premier and Red footage. Hopefully this update resolves some of those: The blurb

Premiere Pro now offers broader native format support (including Red Weapon). You can now edit virtually any type of media and not worry about transcoding, thanks to broad native format support. This saves a lot of time and allows you to jump-start the editing process.

For all the rest: you have no idea how happy I am that, 6 months into 2016, Adobe has released the latest 2015 version of Creative Cloud. Alas, the emoji necessary to describe that happiness won't be released until 2017, if ever.

Just updated to the last release of Pr CC and still have the blackscreen on r3d footage with my gtx 1080 FE, this is just wrong, so i guess this is a nvidia problem ?

Could be a driver issue or could be an SDK issue. If it is a driver issue, then you just need to wait for NVIDIA to update it. If it is an SDK issue, then Red needs to fix in SDK and release it. Then all of the SDK customers, such as Adobe, need to incorporate it and then release an update. REDCINE-X PRO will be released with an update first, so keep an eye on it.

Question for you, have you tried running RCXP and does it work with the GTX 1080? If not, then nothing Adobe can do. Have you tried changing from CUDA to OpenCL in REDCINE-X PRO?

From my point of view, from my armchair, is that it is a driver issue and NVIDIA will need to fix and release a new driver.

I can Confirm Red Raven footage is now natively playing in Adobe Premier 2015.3 Thank GOD ALMIGHTY
 
Does the nvidia gtx 1080 work now with adobe? My old 690 feels so tired...

Hi Stacey, thanks for the answer, i have tried running Rcxp and it does work with opencl and cuda, and i can playback scarlet w in realtime at 1/2 . The only problem i am having is with the Adobe Software, i pay for it every month and it sucks when i have a new graphic card for a month and it still doesn't work after the last update from adobe. If it were a nvidia problem i think it would not work with Rxcp right ?
