My dad said the most expensive meals he had were over in France, because of the weak dollar, and because they were eating at high-end places, and it wouldn't be unusual for my parents to eat $300 lunches and $500 dinners, with wine included, etc. But like my dad said, when you're on vacation and you've got the money, you can either drive yourself crazy thinking about how much it is or must have a good time and kind of laugh about it.
