Powers court
Above is a link to an ad I shot for a hotel in Ireland, I was sparked to show this as it just simply has the same music as the the vid in this tread, Primark-Lingerie-2014-Shot-with-Dragon it has a similar theme, but the primark was shot with the new stallion in the red stable the dragon and my powers court as was shot with a scarlet. Apart from the any of the artistic elements of the shoot, from a look (obviously its graded) and feel that a camera can give I though it would be interesting to think about what kind of advantages the Dragon would of given me. I was definitely surprised how much grain I had when we went to the grading suite with the tungsten lit scenes. I used a red scarlet, with 18-85 lens, and some red primes for the spa scene, I recorded at highest compression 8:1 I think and rated the camera at 500iso. I used some heavy diffusion filters on the lens for a couple of scenes, mainly the restaurant and scenes with the girl. I am very happy with the results and I do not think I would change much, I think the colour is pretty good, I can't complain too much about that but I have the feeling it could be cleaner, more separated.
I'd be interested to hear from people who have shot with Dragon that might be able to give some info on how different the ad could of looked with the new camera, would it be a great improvement ?
Cheers
