Powering with a Power Tap cable?

I saw these cables by Laird over at Markertek.

I'm trying to to run a power cable in my Glidecam X-22 down the post to the V-mount battery at the bottom of the sled and this seems like a solution.

Oh nice, if I wasn't so cheap I might trade in my DSMC-XLR4 XLR4-DTAP cable for one of those.

Just be careful not to plug it in upside down! I had an 2nd AC force it in upside down while I wasn't looking and my Scarlet had to go back to RED for a $1600 repair and we had to shoot the project on a 7D!
