Has anyone ever tried to power your R1 using the AntonBauer source from the steadicam? I got a Master Series Film.
What if I use one V-mount to AntonBauer adaptor? Can I use the RED bricks to power everything (camera and monitor)??

Hi,

If your master as been modified with an anton bauer plate, you should be fine using the BIG AB bricks (hytrons 50 and dionics 90 won't give you enough power) . Don't forget you lose some amps thru the wiring into the post going from the battery plate to the camera.
I use a V-mount to AB adapter on my PRO sled and use the RED bricks . I had a PRO to RED camera power cable made for the sled. Remember you won't get the battery info on the camera with this kind of setup.
As for powering everything from one battery, I would be curious to know the outcome as I use a 3 battery setup on my PRO so I can't relate to the Master using only one battery.
cheers.

I had problems with the Red and my AB batteries on my sled. I also use the V-mount adaptors on my Pro sled and have had no problems with the Red 1 since. You will not be able to monitor power as you can with the AB bricks. Hopefully that will change at some point. The Red is fun to fly!

I've flown the RED a number of times off my PRO and have had no problems powering it with the Dionic 90's (two slaved together in 12v mode). I don't fly the battery on camera as I don't see the point of adding a fourth battery. Not having a readout of power doesn't bother me as I monitor the batteries as I would with any other camera.
