I just picked up a first generation DSMC RED Scarlet and need to figure out how to power it. I've got the side handle but prefer to just use a V-mount battery. The issue I've run into is trying to fit the battery on the back of the camera. Right now I've got the RED Sliding Top Handle installed. It extends past the back of the camera, preventing me from mounting a battery there.
I refuse to use a different handle, so I was wondering if there is a way to mount a battery on the back while keeping the handle. So far I've narrowed it down to either getting a top plate to raise the handle, or use some sort of low mode adapter from Wooden Camera.
Anyone got any other suggestions for mounting the battery onto the back?
