Hi all. . .

New to the Scarlet here.

In looking this pup over, there don't appear to be any power ports anywhere on the camera when it is stripped to its smallest size and using only REDVolts inside the side handle. Is that correct? Are there any other on-camera power sources available to power wireless, etc.?

Thanks.

Stephen

Total bummer. :-(

I use the belt clip which has d tap, then get v mount bats with a d tap as well. My swit bats have d tap and usb port. You are going to need the larger batteries anyway.

I don't think that a REDVOLT has enough juice to power camera and peripherals.

Look at the bright side, the battery doesn't run down as fast. And, it does power a RED monitor via the LEMO for the monitor.

A port would have been nice. I know it's crammed, but it would have been nice.

Yup. 100% agree.

D-tap from v-mount has become my goto thing.
Others do the +1.

The receiver of the Optitron doesn't use much electricity at all, so I am considering a 9v -> D-tap thingy

They could've put one on the front-bottom of the SSD module -- below the EVF/Display port and two button... Actually, that's where the monitor/EVF port should've been (like on the Alexa) and then a power port up top. Coulda, woulda, shoulda, I guess.

But yeah, maybe a small USB battery pack would work to power the transmitter? (Is this for drone or gimbal work?)
