Power management firmware???

I'm wondering about the power management firmware feature.
How much power do you think we will be able to pull from the Redvolts?

I think the power reduction will only work when it is NOT recording... With that in mind, how much of the camera's "on" time is spent capturing image? 50%? If that's the case, then you can expect a 7.5min boost maximum (assuming power management reduces usage by 50%, which seems likely). E.g. currently 30mins on, 15mins of that is recording (full power) and 15mins is on but in standby... so 50% of 15 = 7.5mins... so 37.5mins total. Best bet would be to hold out for 45-60w/h REDvolts in the same physical size for the SideHandle...

Speaking of power management, how long does a REDvolt last WITHOUT a RED Pro 5" attached? I figured that'd draw quite a bit of power.

Mestizo, You can't count on 1H hour of lifetime, but just 5min would be great. Like Mike said, it will probably affect only when the camera is not recording. I'm really waiting for that fixe!!!
