Hey everyone, I started having this really weird issue with my camera. so far it works, but a lot of weird things have just been happning.

1.) The moment I place a V mount battery on, it auto powers on.
2.) no matter what i do i get a low voltage warning and then it shuts off the camera 30 seconds later, the camera operating system shuts off but the sidekick freezes and Monitor backlight wont shut off. only fix is pulling off the video.
3.) if i remove the Base i/o expander and just use the Cable-less V-Mount, the camera still powers on once i put the V mount on, but i do not get the low voltage warning. Same issue with powering off.
4.) if i run power via plugged in via wall or Dtap to the AC port camera does not turn on automatically, but still has the same issue turning off.

Really interested if anyone has encountered something similar.

Thank you all so much.

try taking off expander and updating camera firmware with camera on AC power.. then power down add i/O expander then power back on using AC power. see if the expander gets updated at startup (fans, screen prompt) . then power down and pop on a battery and see what happens.

Christopher, you need to get your PCB board upgraded or upgrade it if your board has a micro sd slot on it or send to wooden camera for free a upgrade, to comply with the new firmware.

Christopher, turn off the switch on the top of your expander and auto power on will stop

So I did the micro sd update on the WC cableless v mount and there was no change

Christopher, you’ll likely need the 3.0 PCB board upgrade through wc themselves. It’s free and super fast shipping.
