Could anyone offer any insight on power consumption for the Raven... specifically, how long a "typical" v-lock battery will last under "average" conditions? Just for the sake of discussion, let's assume the battery in use is something like the PAG L90... https://www.paguk.com/content/pag-slims-down-new-l90-battery.

Just trying to gauge how many batteries to buy to cover our average day. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone care to reveal their favorite battery manufacturer and why? Sorry for the basic questions - coming from years of shooting on lots of things beside Red, but looking forward to jumping in via Raven.

Akin A makes a great point, the Power-U 190Wh are great value. or Pro Batterys and d-tap...

Have heard god things about the Kayo Maxtar 177wh v mount batteries. Haven't worked with one myself but they do come with their own wall charger on amazon.

Anyone had any experience with these?

I worked with a great vareity of v-lock batteries over the past few years and had everything from really dissapointing to realy amazing.
In generall all the IDX ones are working great. SWIT and BEBOB are nice as well but all of those are quite pricy.
During my last research I found the GLOBALMEDIAPRO ones. They come in 95WH, 160WH or 230WH, D-Tap and "communication" with the camera so you get "time remaining" readouts. As far as I know Phil Holland also has a bunch of those and is still using them.
Definitely not the cheapest ones and high shipping costs but therefore they are coming directly from the factory.

I'm probably going to stack up 4 of the 160WH ones with one dual charger, which actually charges simultaneously
Should give me about 3hrs per battery, which means 12hrs power without charging.
Also 160WH is the highst you are allowed to take on a plane. I personally don't want to have to leave my batteries behind and rent somewhere else whenever I shoot abroad.
